Hemostatic and antiseptic alveolar dressing with metronidazole and chlorhexidine
Indications
Used for prophylaxis of inflammatory complications after surgical treatment in oral cavity. Post-extraction alveolar dressing. Treatment of alveolitis and periodontal abscess; filling of periodontal pockets to perform antiseptic treatment after localized anti-inflammatory therapy or after curettage.
Alvostase (sponge №2) with metronidazole and chlorhexidine is a special remedy for use in surgical dentistry and periodontology. Alvostase contains a combination of active ingredients having bactericidal effect that are active against a number of pathogenic organisms. Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid that significantly reduces the quantity and severity of possible pained reactions. Alvostase (sponge №2) is non-toxic locally and therefore it does not provoke ulceration on the oral mucosa.
