Product Description

D/Sense Crystal is a one-step, dual-action desensitizer gel and cavity liner that is fast-acting and long-lasting. Calcium oxalate and potassium nitrate crystals penetrate deeply to occlude the tubules and seal the dentin surface with a continuous, acid-resistant complex (typically less than 3 microns thick). Great for hypersensitive patients.

Indications for Use:

  • Noncarious cervical lesions (NCCLs)
  • Under crowns and bridges, when a standard cement is used
  • On any exposed dentin surface, such as the margins around temporary crowns
  • Before and after tooth bleaching
  • Under restorations
  • Gingival recession
  • Before and after prophy

How To's

  1. Remove cap from syringe and securely attach a Brush Tip foam tip.
  2. To improve patient comfort, warm syringe to body temperature by holding under warm running water for 10 seconds.
  3. IMPORTANT! For accurate control, hold syringe within the palm of the hand. Squeeze the plunger with the base of the thumb. DO NOT push the plunger with the tip of your thumb.
  4. Check syringe flow. Test on a pad before intra-oral use. Squeeze syringe with slow, steady pressure to wet foam tip.
  5. Gently rub and saturate the dentin surface for 20 seconds. Be sure to saturate the area well. D/Sense Crystal may be applied to moist or dry dentin.
  6. Use a gentle stream of air to dry the surface for 30 seconds. If not using compressed air, allow to air dry for 2 minutes. You will see a frosty white precipitate.
  7. Rinse soft tissue to remove any excess material.
  8. Above procedure may be repeated if needed. Dispose of Brush Tip after use. Recap Syringe.
