Refine Air Prophy Powder is a professional dental polishing powder designed for use with air polishing systems to effectively remove plaque, biofilm, and surface stains while maintaining patient comfort and enamel safety. The Refine PT-X series offers different powder formulations and particle sizes for both supragingival and subgingival treatments
PT-X1 is made from Sodium Bicarbonate and is mainly used for strong supragingival cleaning and heavy stain removal. It is more abrasive compared to the other powders, making it effective for removing stains caused by smoking, coffee, and tea. However, it is less suitable for sensitive teeth or subgingival use.
PT-X3
PT-X3 is based on Glycine powder, which is gentler than sodium bicarbonate. It provides comfortable polishing with reduced abrasiveness and is suitable for patients with sensitive teeth and gums. It can also be used for light subgingival cleaning and periodontal maintenance.
PT-X5
PT-X5 contains Erythritol powder with a larger particle size compared to PT-X7. It offers smooth and comfortable polishing with lower abrasion, making it ideal for routine prophylaxis procedures and daily clinical use while maintaining patient comfort.
PT-X7
PT-X7 is the most advanced option in the series. It uses ultra-fine Erythritol 14μm particles, making it ideal for both supragingival and subgingival air polishing. It is extremely gentle on enamel, soft tissues, implants, and periodontal pockets, providing excellent biofilm removal with minimal irritation.
Main Difference
The main difference between the four products is the powder material, particle size, and level of abrasiveness:
PT-X1 → strongest cleaning power and highest abrasiveness.
PT-X3 → gentler cleaning for sensitive cases.
PT-X5 → balanced polishing with comfortable use.
PT-X7 → ultra-fine premium powder for advanced periodontal and implant care.
