Iodoform gauze 10%

Dressing for the treatment of extraction sockets

Composition :

10% lodoform Gauze : 100 g of gauze impregnated with 10 g of lodoform

Properties :

lodoform Gauze is a mild analgesic which acts as an antiseptic agent. When reacting with wound se­cretions and fatty acids, the iodoform frees Iodine to generate, by combination with proteinic substances, an active germicide.

Indications :

- prevention of periodontal infections

- post extraction disinfecting dressing

- disinfection of maxillary cavities

Directions for use :

Cut the necessary length of gauze to fit the extraction socket and pack gently into the cavity to be treated. The gauze is non‑resorbable and can remain in situ for 2 to 8 days prior to removal at the end of the treat­ment.
